Fitness is lost as a result of the modern environment dominated by sitting jobs and the car but lost fitness can be regained and fitness can be improved at any age. You also need to look after your bodywork!

.

REGAIN LOST PHYSICAL FITNESS, AND THEN INCREASE IT

It is vitally important to regain the fitness lost as a result of sitting at work for forty years, the modern work environment, and living in a society in which car driving has become indispensable

  • develop a daily and weekly fitness plan
  • learn how to increase your stamina, skill, suppleness and strength
  • Look after your body - body maintenance is much more important than car maintenance
Activity, physical, mental and social, is of vital importance in achieving optimal ageing, that is in keeping the gap  between your actual level of ability and your best possible level of ability - the Fitness Gap- as narrow as possible. The benefits of physical activity are obvious.

Mental activity increases your ability to think clearly and logically and increases  cognitive fitness and  social activity will help emotional fitness, not just feeling better because people have done something nice for you but because you have done something good for other people.
