
Just as there are many types of drugs the prescription for each drug being determined by the needs of the individual so there are many types of social prescription. the principal types are
- involvement in music or art activities
- voluntary work, for example restoring footpaths for people who enjoy physical work and support for reading in schools for people whose skills and assets are suited to helping children learn
- physical activity in a gym or a fitness centre or by encouraging people to do moderate activity by themselves
